There has been a lot of publicity of U-mobile since it's launch and yes of course it boast a really good deal for a prepaid starter pack.

0- RM0 starter pack
1- 1 second billing
8- 8cents per sms to all networks other than Umobile networks

Really kinda cool. The SIM pack isn't something that is really outstanding but the big U on the front cover tells you a lot. Since the recent launch of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) not a few but many people has been porting from one telco to another. As for me, I am planning to port from my current line to DiGi which offers way better deals than my current line.

Apart from the MNP fact, one thing that really got me to get not one but 2 SIMpacks yesterday was because of charity and yes of course cheaper calling rate to my other half. Oh yes there is current promotion or maybe so called deal is that, calls to all 018 Umobile number is free until 31st of March 2009 which is really cool. But in this world nothing comes free as there is a condition to it, 30hours of free calls/month. That's the deal.
